Prototype Pyrogenesis.

The aim of this experiment was to create a fire emanating Love Dragon.

The two superior ears are not for hearing; rather they were engineered into fire conductors. However the main source of power is held the tail.
Aluminum and gasses are produced and stored in these places, lighting via a concentrated mass of highly electric nerves.
The result is an instant white-hot, lasting fire.
Now we're cooking with gas. <3

I drew this for the competition - which is to draw a fire-type Love Dragon. I tried to stick to the love dragon reference as best I could. [link] - the ref sheet.

I had heaps of fun with this and I’m stoked with how it turned out. :D

Drawn in photoshop and coloured in painter.

:iconraptorarts:
Very cool but the head looks cut off to me and a glass or metal dome put on the severed part of the neck.. Wheres the eyes moutn nose etc? Guess im too into traditional dragons heheh :)

cool i like the way how you explained how it works rather then just saying that its on fire becouse it can be
:iconarmiesagainstme:
Awesome -- the highlights are nice to look at, and your explanation is intriguing.

“Aluminium and gasses are produced and stored in these places, lighting via a concentrated mass of highly electric nerves.” -- That’s brilliant (I’m such a nerd… ha-ha).

Lovely image, I am sure they will be pleased with the entry. The limbs are working really nicely and the style throughout this, is flourishing closer to realism whilst still retaining your own unique style. Were you trying out a new technique here Jen?

Interesting choice in the design as well. Was the domed head something that all love dragons have or a personal choice on your part?

Great work Jen
